Lia’s internal monologue as she repairs her leather armor after the most recent adventure
This is a strange group I’m traveling with, but they’re hearty fighters and seem to care about saving people. Can’t let those dirty giants kill off half the world in their stupid search for glory. We’re learning how to fight good together and all. It’s nice to have more than one mage in the hunting party, so many explosions! ….I guess we’re not really a hunting party, innit.
Flying half a day out of our way to deliver messages seems like a distraction from this giant re-ordering rubbish, but then we’ve met some helpful people. I wonder if that ring Zi’s friend give us actually does anything. Be embarrassing to chance it in the face of a dragon and nothing happens…and deadly.
Flying! Never thought I’d be riding a giant vulture, all dressed up like some cultist. Be nicer if it was another kinda bird and no helmet, but flying is well good fun.
Lucky I accepted that blessing back in Nightstone, really. That vampire should have killed me! Never knew they were so hard to fight. Fun, though! I like finding new creatures and testing myself against them. Should have left the Lurkwood ages ago.
Guess we can’t go back to the Barge Right In (humans have strange names for things) for a bit since we exploded some of it. I think Anton and Rydian might be bothered, but I didn’t really want to take that “beer” delivery job anyway. I don’t trust that Zentarum lot.
Speaking of Nightstone, it was nice to finally have someone say more than ‘dunno’ about it. Still don’t understand it, really, but at least someone has an idea what it’s for. What sort of rituals do you suppose giants do? Nothing good.
That dragon bloke was bonkers. Who keeps a dragon in their upstairs? Actually, who even needs an upstairs? Humans are wasteful. I don’t really get towns, neither. Don’t they understand it just draws attention? And you got nowhere to go if something’s chasing you. They think it’s safer, but not from what I seen. Don’t think much of town guards at the minute.
There, that’s better. I wonder if Talith is free to play dragon chess again. I like that game, bit like hunting.
